TEXTThe baking industry of St. Louis (TEXT MISSING) the welfare of our population, and is (TEXT MISSING) interest and importance as to entitle it (TEXT MISSING) in this volume. In this connection we (TEXT MISSING) cordially to Mr. A. A. Condon, whose bakery (TEXT MISSING) Southwest corner of Seventh and Walnut. Condon succeeded to the management (TEXT MISSING) rebuilt the bakery in 1890, which is a two-story building, 50x127 feet in area. The bakery is equipped with the latest improved appliances and apparatus, (TEXT MISSING) steam engines of seven and twelve horse power (TEXT MISSING) Here are four first-class patent bread ovens (TEXT MISSING oven, and the capacity of the bakery is from 30,000 (TEXT MISSING) loaves of bread daily. Mr. uses only (TEXT MISSING) grades of flour and other choice materials, while (TEXT MISSING) is a model of neatness and cleanliness, and it would (TEXT MISSING) for St. Louis if there were more like it. The (TEXT MISSING) wholesale, and a large trade is conducted with the (TEXT MISSING) retailers, grocers, hotels and restaurants of the city. A. A. Condon's Premium Bread is widely known for its purity and uniform excellence. Six wagons are required to fill orders and twenty-four men are employed in the establishment. Mr. Condon is a native of Bangor, Me., but has resided in St. Louis for the last fifty years. He is highly esteemed in trade circles for his enterprise and strict integrity, and is a popular member of the Master Bakers' Association, of the Legion of Honor.
