THEMA | Angaben zum Unternehmen |
TEXT | In addition to machinery and iron work, this firm manufactures fine machinery for mints, coining presses, coin milling machines, etc. During the winter of 1873-4 there was shipped from this works a complete outfit of the finest coining machinery ever manufactured in the world to the San Francisco Mint. The firm manufactures largely for the United States government, and has filled large contracts for the governments of South and Central America and Mexico for coining lurposes. In some instances these machines had to be made in sections so as to admit of transportation on mules in the mountain regions of South America. The exactitude and perfection of the machinery made here has given this firm almost the exclusive control of this line of machine trade. |
