TEXTProminent among the building firms of this city is that of Messrs. Grissler & Fausel. This business was established by the firm at No. 803 5th Street, and operations were begun in 1863. A very large business is being done, the firm furnishing constant employment for more than two hundred men. The grounds devoted to this business are equal to full half a block, having an area equal to one hundred and fifty by two hundred feet. Their building is of bricb, fifty by one hundred feet, and five stories high. They also have another yard on the opposite side of thes treet which is of large dimensions. The firm owns eight horses and wagons which are used in the prosecution of their business. They are general contractors for the erection of buildings, and are doing a very extensive business throughout the city and vicinity. Both members of the firm are natives of Germany and have been in the United States many years. They are upright and honest in every transaction of life, suave and polite in all associations with their fellow men, and are doing a large and profitable trade. Their business is now continued alone by Mr. G. Grissler, he buying out the interest of his former partner on the 1st of May 1885.
